Heat Wave in Vienna


We tried to escape the heat of Qatar and came to Vienna, but the heat wave in Europe put a dampener on everything.


The flea market is a great place to get a bargain as well as some good pictures.



Most museums are conveniently located together, next to each other. But to savor the most important piece of Viennese art you have to go to the other end of the city, to the Belvedere, where Klimt has his big gallery. The center piece of the collection is Der Kuss, the most famous kiss in the art world.


The Tour has inspired many cyclists to stroll around the city in their favorite team jerseys and kits. This guy was completely bewildered next to Café Aida, looking for directions.


The Syrian rebels were holding an Iftar as well as a freedom rally near the Opera.
