Florence Diaries. Day-16.

Giant Driftwoods on the Arno

Today was busy in the morning taking pictures on the streets of Florence and the afternoon was spent in the lab processing the film and enlarging prints. Some of the prints turned out great. Will have to wait for Romeo’s feedback tomorrow.

A large band was playing processional music in medieval garb out on the streets leading to the Mercato. Looks like some medieval tradition. It’s hard to believe that medieval times were just a few centuries ago.

The entrance to the street was garlanded to the procession in all summer fruits.

The street vendors keep selling all the little amusements for all ages. Everything is shipped from China at express speed.

After a week of warm and muggy days, this week was very pleasant. Almost September-like. I hope it doesn’t get back to its summer ways too soon.
